Confidential Images of Motorola Razr HD Leaked Online

Posted: 01 Aug 2012 02:02 PM PDT

Motorola made a sparkling comeback with their Motorola Razr range of devices, importing great sleep design from their old Razr line of phones to the existing Android line. However, a lot of speculations have been made regarding the device that will follow the razr Droid line. In a rather odd event, the images of what seems to be a highly confidential Motorola Razr HD have been leaked out online. The device is said to be featuring an 8 MP camera unlike the 13MP that was earlier reported. Another interesting observation is that the phone runs only on ICS yet and not Jelly Bean, but we would expect the device to launch with Jelly Bean. The exterior of the device look fairly similar to the Motorola Droid Razr, but the lack of Kevlar back definitely is a downhill move. Here are the leaked images, so you can decide if this is how the Razr HD should look like.

Rebuilding Your Nokia Symbian^3 Generation Phone

Posted: 01 Aug 2012 10:21 AM PDT

After a long time spent in the smartphone world with Nokia Symbian^3 generation there is a strong chance that it has been transformed to Anna and then to Belle. With the transfiguration came the many patches, updates and augmenting low disc space problems. There are strange shillyshallies observed in the behavior of the screen and working of the phone. The best rescue out of this is to rebuild your phone and get things straight and settled. This takes approximately 2 hours for the whole thing to complete and give you a good and decent working piece. Before you start with the main process of restoration you must secure all the data that your device comprises of and which you wish to hold.

For securing the data and getting back all you stored in your phone you must backup the data. You may follow below methods for backing up your phone possessions:

  1. It is really very important to back up your Contacts and Calendar information so as not to miss any update. Copy all this data into your microSD from the 'Files' option on the phone.
  2. There are third party applications that can be used for data synchronization like Mobical, Novell Data synchronizer, Handy Safe Pro and many others. These can also be Malwares so you need to be careful while choosing them and using them.
  3. Next step would be to get a backup of your bookmarks and internet related settings. Opera mobile users can do this with their Opera servers.
  4. You can do a full sync with the Nokia Maps to keep you searched places intact. This will make sure that all the places you searched for previously you don't need to look for them all over again.
  5. All the other data files like media files i.e. videos and images, spare applications and other files like PDFs are better backed up on an external device like a laptop or a desktop disc.

When the entire auxiliary and securing job is wrapped up, it is time for the real issue to be taken care of.

  1. The first step is to charge up the phone to its maximum as this process is time consuming and will need battery power.
  2. Set your phone on the 'offline' mode.
  3. Next you check for firmware updates first. So in the home screen dialer type *#0000# and check for the latest updates available. Then type *#7370# and say 'Yes' for the reset. This will make your phone completely virgin and newly state.
  4. Now the rebuilding starts and during this time nothing works other than the process itself. No emergency calls can be attended and this takes time. You wait for it to finish. No need to panic, just have to be patient for like 15-20 minutes.
  5. You will need to sign in to your Nokia account.

That is done and now you have to get into setting your phone right with its settings and your preferences.

  1. Skip the next step of transferring contacts and setting up the email services. That can wait as you are just rebuilding your phone and not switching to another one.
  2. Set the correct date and time settings. Then move to setting up your Wi-Fi network settings by going to Settings/Connectivity/Wi-Fi. Here you need to check the data connections. Set or keep the right ones and remove the fake ones that the SIM usually sets. We set the Wi-Fi settings first so as to make the further work easy and quick.
  3. Your display settings and other profile settings are changed during the process which you need to change again. Also you need to check the free space on both your phone and memory card.
  4. Next step is to check if your Nokia Store is working. If it is then everything is fine. If not then you better head straight to Web and type betalabs.nokia.com to download the latest version of Store. You may check for updates with the Store later.
  5. Next we head on to the Nokia Maps installation. It takes 15-20 minutes to install this too. You set your country details now and save some time for future. All the roads of your country will be downloaded.
  6. Then depart from the Maps and restart it. Click on '…' and 'Settings', go to General/Connection and see yourself if it says 'Online'. Though it will work offline most of the times, it is still better to have set the data connectivity. Next you set the 'Voice Guidance' language, 'Walk' and 'Drive' guidance.
  7. Next you sync in the searched places that you previously backed up on the Nokia Maps server.
  8. The Contacts and Calendar information goes next for synchronization. Your Bluetooth settings have to be set up again which can be adjusted with the help of Microsoft Exchange. Mac users can use iSync to sync in the address book and calendar details.
  9. Then further you move on to finally look for some software updates that you may find necessary. Also you need to set your email client. The email wizard helps you to fix up your Gmail, Yahoo or Microsoft accounts accessibility.
  10. This would need another few minutes to place up rightly.
  11. Now it is time to get back to the things that you left halfway. You can now use the Nokia Store to download your required apps. Also, in case you have used any of the third party applications that have been mentioned before then you have to install them again. After installation you can continue with the data sync with the applications.
  12. The media files and other extension files which were stored separately can now be placed and updated to the phone. The media library can be updated by opting 'Refresh Library' option from the menu.

Finally you hold a phone in hand which has now become faster and less of redundant things. Your phone is more efficient and has more free space that it had before the whole process. No more shaky, wobbly screen, no more waiting for an application or window to open and no more synchronization problems. Things work just perfectly with your phone now. Easy updates are found so you keep updating your phone readily.

Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet 2 Windows Tablet 8 Specs Leaked Out

Posted: 01 Aug 2012 08:58 AM PDT

Lenovo Thinkpad2 may well be one of the first tablets running Windows 8 that might be hitting the market soon. We have seen various images of tablets running Windows 8 and very recently the Microsoft branded Surface. These line of tablets may well be strong contenders for taking on the iPad and very high range of Android tablets and probably earning a good market share. However, with the leaked specs and various images leaked out, let us warn you that if you thought that were some recolutionary then you are set to be disappointed.

Lenovo as we have come to expect from their Laptops are more known for their durability and a usable design rather than the more eye catchy and flashy features such as those from Apple or even HTC. The Thinkpad 2 seems to be no different. The device sports an all black chassis from the front. Engadget have compared the device to the likes of the new iPad in terms of specs. It sports a massive 10.1 inch touchscreen on the top which houses an IPS display with a resolution of 1366×768. On board are also NFC and a finger print reader which are actually very interesting addition to the tablet market. The tablet is said to be holding out for over 10 hours of battery back up on wi-fi which definitely is great for a device of this size.

We are very excited to see how this tablet performs if and when it comes to the market especially seeing the beautiful keyboard dock it promises to come with. Do let us know your views regarding this tablet too.
