| Sony Shows Off Water Proof Capability Of It’s Latest Devices Posted: 03 Sep 2012 10:54 AM PDT The latest theme started by Sony is marketing their products by the capabilities of them to withstand water. It is a unique marketing style and not a bad ploy especially given the fact that since most of these devices are aimed at emerging countries such as India. Believe it or not, it still fascinates to Indians or even Chinese how a device is water resistant and foolproof rather than the high horse power that the device packs. When Sony announced the new range of phones and tablet at IFA, they made it a point to highlight the durability of their devices which have definitely been an issue of the past. In fact in my own experience I have seen my Xperia Arc S die down due to high moisture content in Mumbai. So if you do not believe Sony’s word, here they took time out to demonstrate how well the device responds even under water. Anybody planning to take one of these for scuba diving? Anyway, here is the video. Via: Technobuffalo Related posts:

| Google Nexus 7 Coming In 3G Variant Soon? Posted: 03 Sep 2012 09:55 AM PDT Google Nexus 7 or Asus Nexus 7 however you wish to call the device seems to be the only tablet in the market doing well apart from the obvious winner that is the iPad. Yes, it is still early days but the nexus branded device has definitely made a terrific start and is probably the most sought out Nexus device out there out shinning the Galaxy Nexus. Having had loads of hands on device time, I can actually see why since the device is extremely capable and performs really well. However, the only qualm we had with the device about the connectivity on the go seems to be getting resolved now. The tablet so far shipped with a Wi-Fi version, but seems like now it will be soon coming in a 3G or HSPA+ version depending on the region you are in. This is great news for those who have been waiting to pick the device once it gets its added features of connectivity on the go. The device is expected to see the face of the earth in about 6 weeks time and there have been no word on the price yet, however we would assume there would be a difference of about $50 from the base and 3G version. This is a highly unconfirmed report and may turn out to be totally hoax but we do believe it makes enough sense for Google to be working on something like this. Would you like to see the Nexus 7 in its 3G variant? Let us know in the section below. Via: Technobuffalo Related posts:
