| Built to Kill: Google Released Nexus 7 To Slay iPad, Kindle Posted: 27 Jun 2012 01:52 PM PDT
Believe it or not information industry has been producing far more news than any government in any country. Everyday is a big day in the IT world. News ranging from Facebook IPO to Steve Jobs and now Google every big wig is being fanatically followed by media and users. Today’s big news is about Google because it has released Google Nexus 7 officially San Francisco. Yesterday, the media was going gaga about the leak of the same gadget but perhaps Google has sensed it and quickly made it public. Apparently, it looks like Google was dedicated prone to kill iPad and Kindle via Google Nexus 7. The 7-inch beautifully designed Nexus 7 is first and the only device in the world that is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which is highly optimum especially for smaller tablet screens, magazines and movies. Moreover, it is going to be the first device that has been shipped with a finished Chrome for Android. Another interesting aspect is that the product is a joint venture of Asus and Google which is quite interesting as both big names from respective industry coming together to bring out something perfect. Google should receive the title of being modest in pricing because it seems they don’t want to charge users a lot that is why the price of this beautiful beast with 8GB space is mere $199 and 16 GB gadget is of $249. The product will also be available for sale on Google Play Store. Google has announced that it will start shipping the device in mid July so, behold to get your hands on this tech baby. That’s it? No! Google was all over the place while announcing the release of Nexus 7 because, it did not just introduced the product but latest Android 4.1 Jelly beans platform and a latest Nexus Q media player with a lot of entertaining features. This player has ability to be connected directly to home sound surround system and play movies, songs from the cloud including YouTube. It is however, relatively expensive and costs $299. Getting back to Google Nexus 7 and its features. This is going to be one hell of a speedy gadget as it has quad-core Tegra 3 processor. The Nexus 7 sports a 7-inch, IPS (in-plane switching) screen, with a resolution of 1,280×800 pixels. It further has a Micro-USB port, 1GB of RAM, a 1.2-megapixel front camera and surprising no back camera, GPS, accelerometer, microphone, and 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi quite fancy indeed. Google has taken good care of the size and weight because the design is indeed sexy and Nexus 7 weights 0.7 pound, and has a textured, grippy backside with both “Nexus” and “Asus” embossed on the backside. Google has claimed that the device is going to have 9 hours 720p HD battery life. Now it is time to see this beast.
