| 6 Boards to Consider for Your Pinterest Brand Page Posted: 02 May 2012 06:25 AM PDT by Jesse Noyes | Pinterest is one of those sites where you log on for five minutes and end up staying for 45. A visual smorgasbord, the now third most popular social media site in the world is highly addictive. Yet, Pinterest's fast rise to fame and users has confused some marketers. Maybe you're used to Facebook and LinkedIn, but what kind of presence should your brand have on this rapidly growing network? Pinterest is all about getting others to "pin" your content to their "boards." To accomplish that goal, you'll have to create your own boards that represent your brand – kind of like a digital corkboard for the world to see. Stumped? Having launched our own Pinterest page today, we decided to detail the six boards we created and why. 1) Infographics And it doesn't have to be your own. Our infographics board features our own content and some of the best examples we see around the web. We love infographics, whether we've created them or not. Infographics lend context to content with a visual panache. Perfection. 2) Charts Every week we produce a new chart that spotlights emerging trends in marketing. So we decided to create a Pinterest board to share selections from our Chart of the Week series. Your business probably has this kind of data kicking around. Consider giving it a new life on Pinterest. 3) Where in the World Eloqua has offices all over the world. Our dispersed team gives us an excellent opportunity to show off our regional flair with pictures of all the beautiful cities our employees live in. 4) Must-See Videos On our video board we try to point out videos that are both entertaining and educational. Here we share cool videos that are both entertaining and educational. Like our infographics board, we don't just highlight our videos but those by other brands that find to be creative, inspirational, and informative. 5) Customer Success Stories But sharing your pride in your customers' success is no vice, especially if there are emerging best practices and tips involved. That's why we went ahead and created a board for this purpose. 6) Funnies Keeping with that lighthearted tone, we created a board of our favorite business-related cartoons we find. There are plenty to go around. We have more boards in the works so stay tuned! In the meantime, you can help your audience "pin" your content by using the Pinterest cloud component in the Eloqua AppCloud. It makes adding the "Pin It" and "Follow" buttons to your visually-striking content easy. Tell us what kind of content you're leveraging on Pinterest?
