2012/02/25 [WEEK 8 LESSON] - Buying Quality Traffic Hey Fellows, One of your biggest struggles when first starting will be to get people to your website.  The great Field of Dreams slogan "If You Build It, They Will Come" really doesn't apply on the internet.  Further, not all website traffic is created equal.  There are tons of services and paid traffic sources on the internet who will send you tens of thousands (if not more) visitors, but in most cases, almost every one of them is useless.  The highest quality visitors are people who are looking for your site or the content that is on it!  That is why keywords, search engines, and even social communities are so important. But getting free traffic from the search engines or the social networks can take time.  Therefore, there is really one major way of getting high quality traffic quickly to your website...Pay-Per-Click. Though, a word of caution!  Pay-Per-Click (Like Google Adwords) is great to herd these quality visitors, but remember that the keywords they are searching for are critical to their ability to earn you cash.  PPC works best when you are testing these keywords and using statistical tools like Analytics.  These tools are free and easy to set-up.  Just don't dive into too deep, too fast...you could find yourself drowning!  We'll be your life preserver!  This is some of the best PPC education available on the internet today! (And if you can get this working correctly, the rewards are almost endless!) Start off by watching the Introduction to Pay-Per-Click Advertising video (this is available to everyone to watch).  From here, TruGuru EXTREME clients will see be dive head-first into Google Adwords.  I'll set up campaigns, show you how to optimize your keywords and even give you some lessons on budgeting your keywords correctly.  Finally, I spend a little bit of time discussing Google's fr'ee Analytics software.  This is rather simple to set up and it is ESSENTIAL for success with PPC.  (And just as a side note, this all works very much the same with other major PPC systems, like Bing!)
