Conversation Score – Discover your Facebook page’s Influence & Engagement

Posted: 08 Aug 2012 12:13 PM PDT

(hubze.com) Hey Hubzers! Or is it Hubzicans? Or Hubzeites? Or Hubzillans? Ok I’ll stop…

If you’re anything like me and 1000s of others that run Facebook pages you’re always wanting to know how well your page is “doing”. Are your posts good? Are people sharing them? How do I compare to others? Things like that.

I’ve talked a few times about the EdgeRankChecker and I would recommend you use it as well as viewing your Insights on  your page. But, sometimes those sites and apps are confusing and hard to understand. (I bet 99% reading this don’t know what “Affinity” means in your Edgerank! If you even know what Edgerank is!).

I ran across a tool by Recommend.ly called “Conversation Score“. Well to be honest I saw Mike Stelzner from Social Media Examiner post about it a few days and played with the site immediately. I was very impressed with how the site works and the scores that it spits out.

All you do is enter your page id, name or url and it gives you your score. Which then shows you “Response from fans”, “Broadcasting”, “Fan Love”, “Virality” and “Posting Habits”. You get up to 5 stars in each category and are given a score. Honestly I’m not 100% sure where they get the scores from or how it is all weighed, but it’s pretty cool. Once it gives you your score and breakdown you can actually download the image of your score (as seen below) or share it on Facebook.

As you can see we were given the ranking of a “Conversationalist”. Not sure what that means compared to other rankings, but ok. I’ve also seen “Starter”, “Fan Favorite”, ”Broadcaster”, and “Viral Wonder”. It appears Starter is the lowest score and you work your way up to Viral Wonder, with Conversationalist right behind it.

It’s another great tool to have in your arsenal to see how well your page is doing. The other cool thing, as I show in the video below, is you can look at the score of your competitors as well! Which is great because now you can see how well you are doing compared to them and possibly tweak your strategy based on what you find.

Feel free to post links to your Cscore in the comments below! What do you think of this tool?
