Facebook Designer Ben Blumenfeld Leaving
Longtime Facebook Designer Ben Blumenfeld became the latest employee of the social network to head for the exit door, telling TechCrunch he will become co-director of Designer Fund. According to TechCrunch, Andreessen Horowitz and 500 Startups are among the sponsors of Designer Fund, which describes itself as an angel fund of designers. Facebook App Subscription Payment Model Now Available To All Developers
The test of a subscription payment model for applications with developers Zynga, Kixeye, and Playdom that Facebook launched in June is over, and the social network has extended the capability to all developers. Facebook Commerce Provider Ecwid Reports 2Q Growth
Facebook commerce provider Ecwid reported that its customers with stores on both Facebook and external websites credited the social network with 22.1 percent of their total revenue in the second quarter, up from 17.7 percent in the first quarter and 15 percent for the full year of 2011.
