User experience can either make or break your readers' loyalty to your blog. So it's important to please them even with the simplest action you can perform or tweak on your site. In this blog post, let me share to you 10 basic items that you can actually perform to enhance your users' experience and eventually increase their loyalty to read more of your contents.

Make your navigation easy use. The easier your navigation is for your readers, the more content is viewed and benefit from. The same way, the more they navigate throughout your site, the more they become involved in your brand. Here's my suggestion. Request an impartial review of the look and feel of your website from friends or even new readers. In this way, you can have a third party perspective and a broader look of you navigation links. Remove or repair broken links. This is pretty much straight forward. Links are supposed to clicked and arrive at the correct address or path. If a user clicks and reaches an invalid destination or an error address, it gives that user an impression of unprofessional/ not worthy of trust site. Good thing you can use free plugins to automatically fix this hitch. Broken Link Checker is a plugin that will monitor your blog looking for broken links and let you know if any are found. Monitors links in your posts, pages, comments, the blogroll, and custom fields. It also detects links that don’t work, missing images and redirects. Notifies you either via the Dashboard or by email. Decrease your page load time. Readers has only seconds to wait before they can browse away from a slow loading website. Readers are more delighted if a website loads fast because they don't have the patience to wait. Or else, they will jump to the next search result. In addition to that, page load time actually plays a major role in determining ranks in Search Engine Results Page so keep an eye on this on page SEO factor. W3 Total cache is a web site optimization plugin that effectively cache and file size web sites. It improves Google search engine ranking by which pages start rendering immediately (Optimized progressive render). Free your site from irritating stuffs. This things could be anything annoying to your readers/visitors and can distract what's intended to them in your site. Examples can include pop-ups, exasperating advertisements, inappropriate side bars, and many more. Surprise them with freebies. Everyone loves freebies. People love to receive stuffs that are free because they feel the privilege of not to paying what they accepted. For example, I created an eBook in which I step-by-step demonstrate how I make money online (Click to download). Now visitors who are interested to know my method can download it absolutely free. This is my way of expressing gratitude for taking some time to view my blog and at the same time surprising them with a freebie. Just do something the above and norm for your readers. Reply to your blog comments, facebook, google plus, twitter or email. When somebody messages you in Facebook, Google, Twitter or even a simple comment to your blog – reply to it. You have to recognize the effort of these people exerted when they contacted you to any forms of medium. Bring back to them the time they spent directed towards you. You have to value their act of interaction and transaction by replying or answering back. This is also your way of social proofing that you recognize your readers publicly. Say Thank You. The simplest way of replying to your readers is saying thank you to them. This 5 seconds act has a potential to build long lasting relationship with you readers. Saying thanks to your readers makes them feel overwhelmed by appreciating their smallest of acts. They will also feel like they want to do more. So always be on “Thank You” mode always, watch how you readers positively respond to it.
Although these tips are simple, they will for sure lead you to big time results. To succeed in an online business, always put your readers and potential customers in mind. They are the sole consumers of your content so let the “ME” stuff be the last on your priority. It is not wrong to aim making money from it, but the bottom line is:
“If you take of your readers, visitors or consumers – they will take care of your business…”
Pleasing your blog’s readers should be the top priority of every online business owners. What do you think about this?
