If you want to spend more moments with your love ones or you simply feel like working for yourself, starting a home based business might be the right answer for you. There are several options when it comes to opening your personal business. They may not even require a lot of money or a large space to begin with. Here are some of the few home based businesses in which I see as an opportunity to make a decent income and have them up and running in no time.

1. Tutor. Begin your own home based business tutoring students in your area of knowledge if you take pleasure in teaching. You can get in touch with your own community and local school to find out how you can work with students who needs educational support.
2. Translator. You can choose to be a freelance translator if you are fluent in speaking more than one language. Nowadays, several companies require documents translated by fluent native language speakers.
3. Photographer. This is a very popular hobby that has a high potential to turn out to be a serious business. You can either be hired as an event photographer or sell your photos online. If you are tremendously skilled in this art, you can set up paid seminars or speaking engagements and earn from your learners.
4. Non-Voice Customer Representative. You don't need to be speaking over the phone to be a customer rep. There are businesses that assist customers and members via chat or email. You just have to search closely for these kinds of freelance offers.
5. Virtual Assistant. You can accept general administrative tasks like email filtering, data entry, research, site management, social media management and more depending on your skill sets. There are a lot of virtual assistant job sites and it could pay you as high as $600-$900 per month.
6. Blogger. Ok, I will be a bit bias here. Yes! You can start your own business through blogging. The site you're in right now is one of my businesses. As a blogger you can earn through advertisements, paid writing, product sales, service endorsements, lead generation and a lot more.
7. Computer Aided Drawing Artist. If you're excellent in drawing using a computer, CAD operator is one of the best choices for you. Nowadays, computer graphic artists are in demand whether structural or in fashion. You have a great edge if you posses this kind of modern skill.
8. Content Writer. Are you fond of writing? If yes, why not write a book and sell it online? Or, accept freelance writing jobs. You can also start you own article marketing business if you want.
9. Be a Chef. I mean, think of it! Not everyone can cook good food, right? If you think you have an exceptional cooking skill, use it for your business. You can accept cooking orders, bake a cake and sell it or start you own catering service.
10. Accept Baby Sitting. Start your community's day care center. But you got to have a lot of patience in this business, so good luck!
