Wow, you learn something new everyday. Just a
few hours ago I learned that one of my good
friends, James J. Jones, was almost sued for
copyright infringement.

He got "lucky" - he only had to pay $3,400.00
to Getty Images to settle the case out of court.
(Yes, seriously, that is lucky. Being taken to
court for copyright infringement will cost
you $100,000.00's in fines.)
The good news about it was that it taught him
an invaluable lesson, and now he knows exactly
what he has to do to get images that he can
use however he likes.
Because of all the horror stories, a lot of people
have stopped using a lot of images altogether on
their websites, sales pages, and so on...but that's
not the right approach.
Images SELL. You need to have them!
