| Shoot Burst Images Like HTC One X On Any Android Phone Posted: 15 Jun 2012 01:38 AM PDT HTC One X is probably our favorite phone on boards. Apart from its amazing construction and feel, we are totally in love with the smart phones ability to take terrific pictures. The camera on board is a real delight for the user. Samsung has also with SIII shown off the phones ability to take quick snapshots and then select the one you feel is the best. However, if you own an Android Smartphone and you would like to take a quick burst of pictures then we have the perfect solution for you. Fast Burst is an amazing camera application that can turn your camera on an Android device to take images like the two of the best smart phones on the planet. The application enables your phone to shoot about 30 images per second which is exceptionally good. The developers says that the lower end devices can also take about 10 pictures per second which is really good. This application is good to go with any phone running an OS above the version 2.2 so just about every android smart phone should well be supported. I personally found the application to be relatively lag free and there was just one force close in about 10 times of using it. The UI is relatively simple and you have the ability to change it to the default camera app in few phones too. However, not many customizations are possible in the application but you can change the exposure value in the fullversion that is the paid one. For those who are using a low end Android device the application can be moved to the SD card so you save some Internal memory on this one. The application is available for about $ 3.99 in the play store, however if you do not like paying for the app you can also download a free lite version which is ad-supported. You can download the application directly from the play store on your device or here Via: Phonearena Related posts:

| Windows Phone 7.5 Maps Gets Enhanced Traffic Features Posted: 15 Jun 2012 12:48 AM PDT It seems like nobody wants to be left behind in the race for developing the best on the go mapping solutions. First it was Google with all their goodness regarding the 3D mapping and taking maps offline, Apple followed by introducing their own application and turn by turn navigation, and it seems now it’s the turn of the third big player as far as the smart phones are concerned to make drastic improvements to their maps. Microsoft has announced that Windows Phone 7 is getting enhanced traffic features on the maps. It is well and good that maps show us the right route to travel but what about the volume of traffic there? We may not always want to travel by the most hustling roads. So to solve this Microsoft has made some very interesting changes to the maps. Scott Barton, Microsoft’s Maps program manager quoted “Depending on where you live, you might see highways and major roads change color. Green roads are clear; yellow and orange roads are congested. And if you're traveling on a red road, make sure to bring an interesting friend to pass the time with while you wait in traffic. Black roads are closed. If no roads change color, then traffic information isn't available for your area." These traffic improvements will be available in the following countries to start off: Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom. We are indeed delighted to see India there and the fact that Microsoft is taking the Indian market so seriously since Indians could really profit from such a thing. | Nokia sells its luxury brand Vertu to EQT Posted: 14 Jun 2012 12:22 PM PDT The most stylish and luxurious brand of Nokia, Vertu has reportedly been sold off. Nokia sold Vertu for an undisclosed amount which is said to be settling somewhere around $250-$300 million to a private equity firm EQT. The Nokia Vertu handset pictured just a day or two ago which was supposed to have Windows 8 Apollo now seems to have to future with the same. Nokia has sold 90 per cent of the stakes and retained a minor shareholding of 10 percent in the luxury brand. The President of Vertu Perry Oosting said, “This is a logical next step in the evolution of Vertu as the world leader in luxury mobile products”. He also added that since the time Vertu began in 1998, it has helped them boost their business almost every year. This could happen only due to the efforts of their workforce and the unique products and services that they offered. "We believe that EQT VI will position Vertu to continue to grow and lead in our marketplace,” Oosting added. This step is taken to rid of Nokia's non-kernal assets and concentrate more on Windows Phone. It has been facing escalating loss with the surrounding competition given by Apple, HTC and Samsung. Their share losses have been unhidden and candid. Despite giving up on the most receptive and splendid brand of phone which is made of precious metals and studded with stones, Nokia is still heard of planning to furlough almost 10,000 of its employees and transform and shuffle the executive team by the end of next year to keep the ship sailing. In an official statement that was issued Nokia said “Nokia has agreed terms for EQT VI, part of the leading private equity group in Northern Europe, to acquire Vertu, the global leader in luxury mobile phones from Nokia”. For all those who have never heard of virtue, which is no surprise given the cost of these handsets, Vertu is a luxury brand of smart phones, that let you have crystal displays and shiny diamond studded keypads. Yes, it makes little sense for anyone to be purchasing that but reportedly it fetched Nokia about 200 Million euros an year thanks to people looking for collectible items. Alongside the Porche Blackberry, Vertu is one of the last few standing luxury brands in the phone world, so it would be definitely interesting as to what the future would hold for the brand. What are your views on Vertu? Do let us know in the comments section below. Related posts:
