| Snapdragon S4 Thermal Comparison Posted: 04 Jun 2012 12:33 PM PDT We all face the heating issue, be it on our smartphones, tablets or even the laptops. However, wih the new processors on market, one thing we are seeing is that a deliberate effort is being made to reduce this heating problem. We saw some of the most amazing devices such as Galaxy Nexus get extremely hot or even the new iPad which is reported to become extremely hot with contineous usage. The Snapdragon S4 is probably one of the most advanced processors out there, so how does it stack up on a heat test. What exactly are we doing here? Lets find out. “Today’s high-end smartphones and tablets are capable of doing many intensive computing tasks, such as 3D gaming, shooting HD video, and editing photos. The more demanding these tasks, the harder the powerful processor works. That can result in excessive heat, which can result in lower performance and reliability issues. Over time, excessive heat can also be damaging to components, especially the battery. The hotter a device gets, the more it degrades battery capacity. To combat this, Snapdragon S4 processors are specially designed to keep their cool. Watch this video to see a Snapdragon thermal comparison and our new Butter Benchmark.” You can know all that you want to know about Snapdragon’s new processor here Related posts: |

| Chicken Invaders 3: Revenge of the Yolk on iOS Devices Posted: 04 Jun 2012 12:23 AM PDT Once in a while a game comes along that’s truly entertaining and exciting, and this is one of those games. Chickens. For centuries we have oppressed them, grilled, roasted and enjoyed their taste. Probably the time has come for us to pay. Intergalactic chickens are invading Earth, seeking revenge for the oppression of their earthly brethren! It’s time for you to fight for our ancestral right to omelettes. Will you succeed? Will the future of chicken burgers be secure? Or will you end up as part of the menu in a galactic chicken restaurant? This game doesn’t demand much deep thinking, or game expertiseness, just some trigger-happy lousy fingers to really enjoy it. Time passed by rather quickly and after a moment of exasperation that the game is approaching its ending, and a very exhausted finger, you couldn’t help but smile looking at all those funny intergalactic chicken invaders and their egg yolks. This is a funny game, I have been playing it all weekend. The developer had a wicked sense of humour mixed with nostalgia. The overall setup is very much like the classic Galaga of the 80s. You have a spaceship that fires at the invaders, which are, in this case, chickens, that lay easter eggs. Avoid the eggs to keep from being blown up. When you blow up a chicken, it becomes a fried chicken leg or a big mc burger that your ship then comsumes. Some chickens become whole fried chickens for more points. Once you eat so many you will earn a bomb that will let you blow up entire groups of chickens- everyone present on the screen. There is also an obligatory asteroid screen, and at the end of each round you face some type of villain, one of which is a huge easter egg. The graphics and animations are good. The weapons are interesting and more importantly the game is fun to play although it might seem a bit lousy to hardened gamers. Nonetheless the simplicity and yet creativity of the games makes it a must play. You can download the application form the App Store here. Related posts:

| Forecast: Know Weather Forecast On iPhone Easily Posted: 04 Jun 2012 12:07 AM PDT Would you like a quick way to check the weather on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad without having to actually launch the Weather.app? Or would want to spice up your lock screen with an ultimate weather experience? If so, then you should check out the recently released Cydia tweak called forecast that will add a native weather widget to your lock screen. In order to conserve battery life this tweak has been programmed to refresh at most every 15 minutes and when you do not have an active WiFi or 3G connection you will still be able to see your last update, with a small icon displayed in the corner to tell you weather is currently offline. Forecast completely replaces the regular lock screen clock and has no settings to configure. It would be nice if you could choose whether you want the weather widget to appear below the LockScreen clock, rather than completely replacing it but it does spice up your lock screen and makes it impressive and it is definitely a tweak to brag about. For those that are interested in Forecast you can find it through the ModMyi repo for $0.99. To install this tweak for free you need to follow the steps given below:
If you know any other tweaks similar to this one or any other tweak which you might think would be useful to iphone users please let us know. Blogtechnika will not be responsible if your device gets bricked while using Cydia. No related posts. |
| How To Disable S Voice in Samsung Galaxy S III Posted: 03 Jun 2012 10:58 PM PDT S Voice is a Siri alternative to Samsung Galaxy S 3. I have used this feature in Galaxy S 3 and believe me, it’s amazing. It can easily understand Indian accent and give response very quickly. You can give instructions to your phone by pressing home button twice quickly. If you press the home button once, the response time is low because your phone waits for the second press. To get rid of slow behavior of home button you can disable S-Voice in Settings. Just go to Settings and then S Voice settings. Uncheck the box next to “Launch S Voice”. All done.
